MICROBIOME HEALTH:  REMOVE . REPLACE . REPAIR . REINOCULATE .

When your system is off balance and you are experiencing autoimmune issues, stubborn weight, low or erratic energy, anxiety and/or depression, one foundation to check in with and shore up is your gut health.  The 4Rs is a standard protocol used by functional, integrative and holistic practitioners to treat "leaky gut."

 

One important note, if you live with chronic stress and you do cultivate stress management skills for physiological, mental, and emotional self-regulation,  the 4Rs will be minimally effective or at best short-lived. Stress hormones have a major impact on the health of our microbiome, and can create a shift towards dysbiosis in as little as 30 minutes! Luckily, our microbiomes are incredibly resilient; so, if we take the proper countermeasures to bring ourselves back towards balance through mindful eating, exercsie and stress reduction, we can quickly return to a state of homeostasis :)
