Crunchy, spicy, aromatic granola...
Kitchen Tools
2 large mixing bowls

* most store-bought granolas have around 10g of sugars in a 1/4 cup serving. This recipe keeps it down to 4.5g sugar per 1/4 cup, or 9g sugar per whole 1/2 cup serving.

Ingredients: DATE SYRUP
10 medjool dates, soft, medium-large
Juice of 2 Oranges, freshly squeezed (include pulp)
* blend until smooth and set aside.
Ingredients: BOWL 1
3 cup, Organic Sprouted Rolled Oats
1 Tsp, Cinnamon
0.50 tsp, Ginger,
0.25 tsp, Allspice
0.25 tsp, Clove
0.25 tsp, Cardamom
0.25 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp., Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
0.5 cup(s), Raw Cacao Powder
0.33 cup(s), Organic Ghee from grass-fed cows
Zest of 1 Orange
1 tsp, Vanilla Extract
1/2 of Date “Syrup”
0.5 cup (39 g), Coconut Chips
0.5 cup(s), Pumpkin Seeds or Walnuts (unsalted, raw or soaked and dried)
0.5 cup(s), Cashew Pieces (unsalted, raw or soaked and dried)
Ingredients: BOWL 2
3 cup, Organic Sprouted Rolled Oats
1 Tsp, Cinnamon
0.50 tsp, Ginger
0.25 tsp, Allspice
0.25 tsp, Clove
0.25 tsp, Cardamom
0.25 tsp Nutmeg
1.25 tsp., Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
0.33 cup(s), Organic Coconut Oil
Zest of 1 Orange
1 tsp, Vanilla Extract
1/2 of Date “Syrup”
0.5 cup (39 g), Coconut Threads or Shredded
Instructions:
Mix all of your ingredients in each bowl. Coat your oats with the coconut oil or ghee before adding the "wet" ingredients ( the date syrup and vanilla).
On each of your baking sheets, place the contents of one bowl.
Bake at 300°F for 30 minutes, aerate the granola (move it around), bake for another 30 minutes at 300°F. Turn heat all the way down and leave granola like this until crunchy :) Sometimes I turn the heat off after awhile and leave the granola in the warm oven all night.
ADD After Baking: {balance the roasted and the raw}
0.5 cup(s), Pumpkin Seeds or Walnuts
0.5 cup(s), Raw Cashew Pieces
0.5 cup(s), Coconut Chips
0.5 cup(s), Coconut Threads or Shredded
